The department of the Interior Bureau of Land management is holding an Adopt-a-wild-horse event at the Ocala Equestrian Complex July 31-Aug. 1.

Animals will be adopted by a competitive bid. The minimum adoption bid is $125. To adopt you must have a minimum 12×12 foot shelter with 20×20 feet of corral space, sturdy fences at least six feet high (five feet for burros). In order to adopt and transport you need your own halter and lead rope and a solidly constructed horse or stock trailer.

Come out and bring a friend and your trailer. For more info call 888-274-2133 or 601-977-5400.
