Suwannee was aced out of the state championship series when they lost to West Nassau in the second round of the championships. West Nassau then played Santa Fe and beat them 2-0. But American Heritage ended West Nassau’s run by defeating them 5-0 in the semi-finals. American Heritage advanced to the championship game.

Lake Highland Prep beat Pasco 3-0 to advance to the semi-finals. Lake Highland beat LaBelle 2-0 to advance to the championship game. American Heritage won it all for 2005 when they beat Lake Highland Prep 1-0. The 2005 high school softball champion for 2005 is American Heritage.
