An argument around 9:30 Sunday night ended with the arrest of Francisco Montoya, 51, 438 S. Fletcher, Mayo and the transport of the victim Reynaldo Camacho, 26, also a resident at 438 S. Fletcher, to Shands at Live Oak for treatment of a single stab wound to the back.



Witnesses at the scene told Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Geoff Condy and Sgt. John Young that the two men were arguing and Montoya took a kitchen knife, stabbed the victim, then simply walked away.



Montoya was arrested and taken to Lafayette County Jail where he remains, charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, on $15,000 bond.
