The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners has officially closed out its 2003 CDBG Housing Grant.

As a result of the grant, ten unrepairable homes were replaced with ten new homes and twenty-one homes were renovated and brought up to appropriate standards resulting in a significant improvement to the County’s housing inventory.

The accomplishment came by means of $700,000 CDBG Grant funds, leveraged with $200,000 in County SHIP Funds.

Due to the Board’s diligence in completing this project, Hamilton County is eligible to submit a new CDBG application April 1.
