JASPER – Representatives of Peter Brown Construction, Inc., the firm in charge of the construction of the new Hamilton County High School, invited The Jasper News to tour the construction site on April 30, 2003 and document the progress of the new HCHS, contractually scheduled for completion by January 15, 2004.

Representatives of Peter Brown Construction, Inc., are pleased with the progress of the new high school and that it remains on schedule to be finished by the end of the year. The groundbreaking ceremony of the site for the new HCHS, located approximately three miles south of Jasper just off U.S. 129, was held in August of 2002. Since then, work has steadily progressed to where the form of many of the school’s buildings is beginning to take shape.

“April was a good month for us,” said Ryan Parker, project manager. “The weather cooperated with us and we are able to get a lot accomplished. “We are proud of the work that’s been done so far and feel like this is an opportunity for us to make a long-lasting impact for Hamilton County,” said Keith Leach, Director of Operations, Peter Brown Construction, Inc. “This project should provide a nice, new high school the community can take a lot of pride in for the next 50 years.”
