Folsom W. Linch

Folsom W. Linch, 83, of Dowling Park, passed away, April 19, 2004, in Shands at Live Oak. The Lafayette County native served for five years in the U.S. Navy serving during World War II as an aviation mechanic. He retired from NAS Jacksonville where he worked on the emergency repair squad and was an expert helicopter repair mechanic. Linch was a member of Woodmen of the World, Live Oak and an associate member of the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch, Live Oak.
Survivors include: his wife, Hattie R. Linch, Dowling Park; two daughters, Jo Ann Linch, Tallahassee and Martha Sue Scott, Homestead; one son, Donald Ray Linch, Quincy; one sister, Millie Reed, Live Oak; and three grandchildren, Scott Pepper, Laura Linch and James Linch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24, at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak. Interment will follow in Day Cemetery, Day.
Visitation will be held today, Friday, April 23, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch, P.O. Box 2000, Live Oak, FL 32064.

Clazina Johanna Punt
Clazina Johanna Punt, 100, passed away, April 16, 2004, in Dowling Park. A native of Rotterdam, Holland, she had lived in Fort Smith, Ark., where she taught in the public schools. She had been a missionary in the Congo for 20 years. Punt and her husband retired to the Advent Christian Village at Dowling Park in 1995.
Survivors include: a son, Leonard Punt of Westmont, Ill.; a daughter, Marina Raye of Penrose, Colo.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband the Rev. Harry M. Punt in 1999.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 1, in the chapel of Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park. Burial will be at Bixler Memorial Gardens East, Dowling Park.
