Jennings woman arrested in Suwannee stabbing

Charges of aggravated battery (domestic violence) were filed against Hamilton County resident Kacey Clark Whitt, 22, 6648 NW 27th Blvd., Jennings, according to the weekend arrest report submitted by the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.
The report states that SCSO Deputy Shawn Larney responded to a 2:15 a.m. stabbing incident on Saturday at 201st Rd., in Suwannee County and was told that Whitt came to the residence, where a family member was spending the night, and allegedly stabbed him repeatedly. According to SCSO, an argument in Jennings earlier, preceded the alleged stabbing (pocketknife) incident, after Whitt followed the victim into the neighboring county.
The victim was transported to and treated at Shands of Live Oak. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Whitt was arrested that afternoon after turning herself in to authorities in Hamilton County, states the report. She was transported to the county jail in Suwannee and later released on a $2,500 bond.
