Lady Dog volleyball wins two in a row

The Lady Dogs competed in district play against East Gadsden at East Gadsden and came away with their second big win in a row. The Lady Dogs took the first game 25-22, the second 25-14, they lost the third 23-25 and won the decider 26-24.



The JV girls also racked up their second win in a row with a big victory in East Gadsden 251-21 and 25-17.



Leading players for the Lady Dogs were Heather Benson and Kyla Serrona. Benson had 15 service points, six aces and four dinks while Serrona scored 11 big service points, had six aces and one assist.



Sharon Jelks also had an amazing game with 14 assists to her credit. Jelks was also a demon at the net with six kills. Heather LeBlanc, in her second year playing volleyball, scored nine service points and had four kills.



Individual stats



Heather Benson-15 service points, six aces and four dinks.



Kyla Serrona-11 service points, six aces and one assist.



Sharon Jelks-Six kills, eight service points, two aces and 14 assists.



Heather LeBlanc-Four kills, nine service points, three aces and two assists.



Marcella Walker-Four kills, eight service points, five aces and four assists.



Kortney Cherry-five kills, five service points, three aces, one assist, one block and five dinks.

Lindsey Gaskins-one kill and one dink.



The Lady Dogs play again at home against Branford Monday night at 6:30 p.m. The JV Lady Dogs take to the court at 5:30 p.m. Come out and support this fantastic volleyball program. Go Lady Dogs!
