Lady Dogs win first district match

The Lady Dogs took on East Gadsden in their first game of the district playoffs in Wakulla. The Lady Dogs will face the toughest district opponent yet in their next match. The play Florida High.
The girls won all three matches of the game. They won the first 25-19, the second 25-9 and the third 25-10.
The entire team played well with stellar performances from Kortney Cherry, Sharon Jelks and Marcella Walker. Heather Benson and Kyla Serrano also had great games.
Individual stats
Kortney Cherry had 12 service points, six kills, three aces and one block.
Sharon Jelks had 14 service points, three kills, 11 aces and five assists.
Marcella Walker had 10 service points, five kills, five aces, three assists and two dinks.
Heather Benson had eight service points, five aces, 11 assists and three dinks.
Kyla Serrano had nine service points, five aces and two assists.
Heather LeBlanc had three service points, one kill, one ace and one assist.
Lindsey Gaskins had one kill.
Nereyda Pecina had one assist.
