Rita Bradley
Rita Bradley, 76, of Live Oak, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in the Shands at Live Oak Hospital, Live Oak after a long illness. The Des Moines, Iowa native moved to Live Oak from Bradenton 15 years ago, was owner/operator of a restaurant and was of Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include: her daughter, Sharon K. Cressley, Lee; three sons, James R. Patterson Jr., Live Oak, John T. Davis, Jasper and Roger A. Davis, Live Oak; one sister, Patricia Turlington, Mayo; one brother, Clyde L. Nellis, Live Oak; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be conducted from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, July 16, at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak. Interment will follow in the Manasota Memorial Cemetery, Bradenton on Saturday, July 17.
Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.
Billie E. Strickland
Billie E. Strickland, 81, of Live Oak, passed away, Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Suwannee Health Care Center after an extended illness. He worked as a general contractor and was a member of the Live Oak Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his wife, Joy Strickland, Live Oak; three sons, David, Lee and Keith Strickland, all from Texas; two step-sons, Buster and Tony Poppell, Live Oak; and one sister, Martha Strickland, South Florida.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 17, at 1 p.m., at the Live Oak Church of Christ with Craig Williams, Minister officiating.
Mattie Lee Cooper
Mattie Lee Cooper, 89, of Branford, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at her residence following a long illness. The Lakeland native was born Jan. 26, 1915 and moved to the Branford area in 1952 from Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Branford First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dr. Nancy Lee Cooper of Branford and Mary Kenn Walker of Crawfordville; one son, Jerry Cooper of Branford; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 17, at 11 a.m., in the Branford First Presbyterian Church, 105 NW Drane Street, Branford with the Rev. Glen Busby officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
