Loney Elizabeth Anderson Dykes
Loney Elizabeth Anderson Dykes, 83, of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Dykes was born on Jan. 30, 1921 in Fargo, GA. to the late Henry and Mary Jane Cribbs. She lived most of her life in Hamilton Co. and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Raymond Dykes, Lake City; two daughters, Loney Anderson Brown (Carl), Valdosta, GA. and Virginia Anderson Hughes (James B.) Clewiston; six step-children, Raymond Dykes (Pat), Tallahassee, Lowry Dykes (Diane), Live Oak; John Dykes, Lake City, Joseph Dykes, Raleigh, N.C., Mary Jane Weaver (Dewey) and Martha Newbern (Jerry), all of Lake City; one sister, Nelouise Davis, Lakeland; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 11 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Hazel officiating, assisted by Pastor Steve Redman. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery. Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Jonnie Kay Davis Wagoner
Jonnie Kay Davis Wagoner, 61, of Jasper, passed away Friday, June 11, 2004 at Trinity Community Hospital in Jasper. The Waycross, GA. native was born on Jan. 17, 1943 to John and Virginia Davis. Jonnie Kay was a 1961 graduate of Jasper High School and North FL. Community College. She worked as a teachers aide for the Hamilton County School Board for 19 years. Wagoner was a member of Jasper First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, John Wagoner, Jasper; one son, Rog Wagoner, Gainesville; two daughters, Patti Mitchell, Jasper and Helen Wagoner, Orlando; her mother, Virginia Davis MacFarlane, Jasper; one brother, John William Davis, Jr., Tavares; one sister, Margaret Lewis, Jasper; four grandchildren, Ginny Wagoner, Katelyn Mitchell, Kelvin Calhoun and Taylia Henderson.
Funeral services were held June 15 at Jasper First Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Floyd and Rev. Troy Varnum officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Juanita Grantham
Juanita Grantham, 70, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs. Grantham was born in Georgia on Nov. 18, 1933 to the late Virgil and Ruby Williams. She was a homemaker and member of Bright Pond Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Drew Grantham, Jasper; one son, Buddy Grantham, Jasper; two daughters, Ann Lessman (Michael) and Susan Bozeman (Mark), all of Jasper; one brother, Gene Williams (Patsy), Dover, TN.; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 15 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Smith officiating, assisted by Pastor Avery Kelly.
Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

William Matthew Marable, Sr.
William Matthew Marable, Sr., 82, of Jasper, passed away Monday, June 14, 2004 at his home. The Hamilton County native and lifelong resident was a well-known building contractor and was a member of Live Oak First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Marable was preceded by his parents, A. L. and Beulah Marable.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Edna Marable, Jasper; two sons, Matt Marable, Jr. (Gayle), of Jasper and Richard Marable (Lynne) of Live Oak; one daughter, Delores Howell (Richard), Jasper; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In an effort to abide by his wishes, there will be no formal visitation or service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Florida Baptist Children’s Home, 8415 Buck Lake Road, Tallahassee, FL 32317.
