Judge David E. Bembry
udge David E. Bembry, 57, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at his residence. Bembry was born December 11, 1946 to the late Edgar and Jewell Smith Bembry. The Hamilton County native was a graduate of Jasper High School and served two years in the United States Marine Corps. He received his under-graduate degree and Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University. On March 31, 1973 he married Joanne Smith and worked in private practice until he was elected Hamilton County Judge in Sept. of 1978, a position he has held since that time. Bembry was a dedicated member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Bembry, Jasper; two sons, Andrew E. Bembry, Seattle, WA and Adam Ross Bembry, Valdosta, GA.; two brothers, Elwin Bembry, Nashville, TN and Shelton Bembry, Atlanta, GA.; two sisters, Evelyn Bembry, Fayetteville, Ark and Iris Berry, Alexandria, VA.; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral mass was held on Wednesday, March 31 at St. Therese Catholic Church near Jasper. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions were made to Hospice of the Suwannee Valley, 618 SW Florida Gateway Dr., Lake City, FL 32024 or to St. Therese Catholic Church, P. O. Box 890, Jasper, FL 32052.

Robert D. Staudigl, Sr.
Robert D. Staudigl, Sr., 59, of Lake Park, GA., died Tuesday, March 30, 2004 in a Gainesville hospital. Mr. Staudigl was a member of Wrights Chapel United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the US Navy having served for 10 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeanne Staudgil of Lake Park, GA., four sons, Robert (Mirla) Staudigl of Pembroke Pines, George (Jennifer) Ehling of Statenville, GA., Jeffrey (Margaret) Ehling of Houston, TX. and Peter (Teresa) Schopfer of McDonough, NY; three sisters, Elaine Staudigl of Orlando, Patricia Giovansanti of Staten Island, NY and Laura Staudigl of Staten Island, NY and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Friday, April 2, 2004 in the Wrights Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Gregory Lee officiating.

Lee David Ball
Lee David Ball, 62, of Jasper, died Friday, April 2, 2004, in a Valdosta Hospital. Mr. Ball was a native of Nashville, GA and had been a resident of Hamilton County since 1975. He retired from PCS in 2001 after 26 years and served in the US Army for 6 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Sarah Ball of Jasper; three sons, David Ray Ball of Vancouver, WA., James Edward Ball of Hahira, GA. and Charlie Ball of Jasper; four daughters, Daphne Coleman of Hattiesburg, MS., Priscilla Wilson of Vancouver, WA., Kelinda Hughes of Jasper, and Sheila Gonzalez of Jasper and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 4 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Hill officiating.
Interment followed in Vickers Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien Co., GA.
