Thomas “Tom” Vaughn

Thomas “Tom” Vaughn, 65, of McAlpin, passed away Monday, June 28, 2004, in Shands at Lake Shore Hospital, Lake City, after a long illness. The Fayetteville, Tenn. native moved to McAlpin from Homestead four months ago, was of Baptist faith and retired from Strano Farms in Florida City where he worked for 26 years as a farmer.



Survivors include: his wife, Mary Vaughn, McAlpin; two daughters, Teresa Spelc, Huntsville, Ala. and Candace Vaughn, Homestead; one son, Johnny Vaughn, Fayetteville, Tenn.; two step-sons, Jimmy Cross, O’Brien and Tony Maldonado, Orlando; two sisters, Margaret Doughty, Ft. Walton Beach and Ruth Brown, Coldwater, Tenn.; one brother, Fred Vaughn, McAlpin; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.



Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, July 2, at Daniels Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Walter Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the O’Brien Cemetery.



Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.



Paul J. Moran



Paul J. Moran, 67, of O’Brien, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2004, in his home. The Staten Island, N.Y. native moved to O’Brien from Pompano Beach in 1993. He was an elevator constructor, a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local No. 71, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and of Catholic faith.



Survivors include: four sons, Robert P. Moran, Texas, Tim L. Moran, Ft. Myers, Jeffrey R. Moran, Coconut Creek and Douglas Moran, Plantation; three sisters, Agnes Paul and Maureen Massa, both of Staten Island, N.Y. and Ruth Mollack, Chambersburg, Pa.; one brother, Noel Moran, Staten Island, N.Y.; and three grandchildren, Matthew Moran, Ft. Lauderdale, Cody Moran, Ft. Myers and Sarah Moran, Texas.



Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, at Daniels Memorial Chapel with the Rev. George Kuruvilla officiating. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.



Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak was in charge of all arrangements.
