Georgia Sally McDonald Mitchell

Georgia Sally McDonald Mitchell, 78, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004 at the Suwannee Valley Nursing Center following an extended illness. She was born February 18, 1926 to the late William and Ella McDonald. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and a member of the Jasper first Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Kenneth Mitchell on August 29, 2004.



Survivors include four sons, Bill, Danny and Stephen Mitchell, all of Jasper, and Gene Mitchell, Woodbine, Georgia; one daughter, Marchetta McClendon, Jennings; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.



Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 21, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Reverend Avery Kelly officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

John C. Collins



John C. Collins, 52, of Jennings, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004, at Trinity Community Hospital. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 31, 1952. Collins, a former resident of Orlando, Florida, moved to the Jennings area approximately 20 years ago. He was employed by the Hamilton Correctional Institution and previously had worked for many years at Satellite Antennae Systems.



Survivors include his wife, Angela Sims Collins, Jennings; one son, Jared Collins (Natalie), Jennings; one daughter, Amanda Collins, Orlando, Florida; his mother, Ada Roberts, Winter Springs, Florida; two sisters, Laura Curtis and Vicky Clark both of Winter Park, Florida; one grandson, John Patrick Collins; and 11 nieces and nephews.



Funeral services were held Friday, September 24, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Brother Jim Jacobs officiating. Interment followed in the Ocilla City Cemetery, Ocilla, Georgia.

Collen H. Langford



Collen H. Langford, 73, of Madison, Florida passed away Thursday, September 23, 2004 at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born March 25, 1931 to the late David and Retha Langford. He retired after 37 years with Florida Power. Langford was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Williams Langford.



Survivors include four sons, Danny Langford, Madison, Florida, Collen Langford Jr., Pensacola, Florida, Glen Langford, Madison, Florida, and Randy Langford, Leonardtown, Maryland; three daughters, Pam Gordie, Lee, Florida, Delilah Farnell, Madison, Florida, and Elaine Sands, Camden, Alabama; two brothers, Shelton Langford, Madison, Florida, and Carlton Ray Langford, Cherry Lake, Florida; six sisters, Annie Lee Fuller, Lake City, Florida, Margaret Monk, Valdosta, Georgia, Gwendolyn Hurst, Jacksonville, Florida, Yvonne Grimsley, Gainesville, Georgia, Annette Ball and Cynthia Bullington, both of Jacksonville, Florida; a half-brother, Joseph Carroll Hysmith, Jasper; two half-sisters, Sally Moore, Lake Park, Georgia, and Patty McCarroll, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.



Funeral services were held Sunday, September 26, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Mr. Ronnie Sadler officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Eunice L. McLeod



Eunice L. McCleod, 89, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2004, in a local nursing home. She was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County where she was a homemaker most of her life. McCleod also worked at the Suwannee Valley Nursing Home for 10 years. She was a member of the Blue Springs Primitive Baptist Church of Madison County.



Survivors include two sons, Spike (Rosemary) McCleod, and Eddie (Barbara) McCleod, both of Jasper; two daughters, Judy Siler, and Jean McCleod both of Jennings; three brothers, Nick Law, Jasper, Jewett Law, Gainesville, Florida, and Drew Law , Lake City, Florida; two sisters, Melba Smith, Jasper, and Verdie Moore, Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Lynette McLeod Wiser; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry McCleod.



Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 29, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Elder Sammy Harris officiating. Interment followed in Jennings Bluff Cemetery.
