Birl J. Eddings Sr.
Birl J. Eddings Sr., 79, of Live Oak, passed away, Friday, April 23, 2004, after a short illness in the Lake City VA Hospital. He was a native of Pocahontas, Ark., a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a truck driver for Beaver Dump Service for 16 years and a member of Rosemary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife Ruth Eddings of Live Oak; three daughters, Glenda Ruth Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz., Linda Marie Oleson and Berylene Jessie O’Hara, both of Live Oak; two sons, Birl J. Eddings Jr. and William Huey Eddings, both of Live Oak; one sister, Shirely Ann Morgan of Jonesboro, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, graveside at Live Oak Cemetery.
Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.
Hattie R. Linch
Hattie R. Linch, 80, of Dowling Park, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City. The Brooks County, Ga. native moved to Dowling Park from Cherry Lake 17 years ago, was a secretary, an associate member of the Florida Sheriffs Boys Ranch, Live Oak and a member of First Baptist Church, Dowling Park.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jo Ann Linch, Tallahassee and Martha Sue Scott, Homestead; one son, Donald Ray Linch, Quincy; one sister, Velma Lee, Dowling Park; one brother, Othan Ragans, Lake City; and three grandchildren, Scott Pepper, Laura Linch and James Linch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 29, at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak, with the Rev. Shawn Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Day Cemetery, Day.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday evening, April 28, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 11274 235th Lane, Dowling Park, FL 32060.

Celestia D. Walker
Celestia D. Walker, 88, of Branford, passed away April 21, 2004. Survivors include Janice (Tony) Melvin of Tallahassee and Howard (Carolyn) Walker of Branford.
