Harry W. Cooke
Harry W. Cooke, 80, of Valdosta, GA passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005 in his home. The Scranton, South Carolina native moved from Dothan, AL in 1984 to Live Oak. He retired after thirty years as Terminal Train Master with CSX Railroad in Jacksonville, a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of the Masonic Lodge #418, Sumter, SC and was a member of Live Oak Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife: Myrtie “Pat” Townsend Cooke, Live Oak; one daughter; Patti Karen Cooke Triplett, Gulf Breeze, one son; Joseph Winston Cooke, Valdosta, GA, one sister; Thelma Floyd, Scranton, SC, two grandchildren; Matt and Ashley Triplett, also survive.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2005 at Live Oak Church of Christ with Mr. Craig Williams officiating. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.
Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak was in charge of all arrangements.
Lorine (Jackson) Hunter
Lorine (Jackson) Hunter age 83, died August 1, in Lake City Medical Center. Mrs. Hunter grew up in this area. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jackson.
She is survived by 4 daughters; Martha Rose, Janice Baxter, Lynn Benlolo, Karen Folsom, all of O’Brien, one sister; Dorothy (Jackson) Alessi of Largo, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, one special niece; Marilyn (Osteen) Goodman of Clearwater.
Interment was Thursday, August 4, at Burlington Cemetery in Suwannee County.
