Mary C. “Kitty” Kreller

Mary C. “Kitty” Kreller, 87, of Beach Lake, Pa. passed away Sunday, June 5, 2005 at home. Born May 25, 1918 in McAlpin, she was the daughter of Mamie and Barney Cheshire. Kreller and her husband Alvin Kreller would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on June 16. She and her husband operated Dellwood Acres, a summer resort in Beach Lake for 34 years. Kreller was a member of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church, its’ ladies aid and auxiliary as well as a member of the Tusten and Beach Lake Senior Citizens Clubs.

Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, Alvin Kreller of Beach Lake, Pa.; one daughter, Belinda Beierlein and her husband James, of Beach Lake, Pa.; one son, William Kreller of Cape Cod, Mass.; one granddaughter, Kristen Beierlein; and one sister, Vera Lanier of Live Oak. She was predeceased by a brothers, Bud Cheshire.

Friends may call from 10-11 a.m., today, Wednesday, June 8 Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg, N.Y.

A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Gordon Weightman officiating. Interment of the cremains will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Rasmussen Funeral Home of Narrowsburg, N.Y. is in charge of all arrangements.



Stephen Ralph Squires

S tephen Ralph Squires, 65, of Live Oak, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 4, 2005 with his favorite “Kitty” at his side. He was born on Nov. 9, 1939 in Manchester, Vt.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Squires of Live Oak; sister, Jeannie White of Massachusetts; two children, John and Janet Squires; step-daughter, Mary Roberts of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Clark of Georgia; Rachel and Nicole Clark of Virginia Beach, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Steven Clark of Virginia Beach, Va.; and cousins and an aunt in Tallahassee.

Memorial services will be held at Advent Christian Church at 4 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 8, 2005 with the Rev. Lester Curry officiating.



Judy Headington

Judy Headington, 61, of Live Oak, passed away Friday, June 3, 2005 in Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park after a long illness. The Hillsdale, Mich. native moved to Live Oak in 1981 from Punta Gorda.

Survivors include one son, Timothy Newman of Alabama; one sister, Terry Ireland of Marine City, Mich.; two brothers, Steve Love and Michael Love, both of Roscommon, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., today, Wednesday, June 8, with Mr. Bob Fletcher officiating.

Joe Lett

Joe Lett, 63, of McAlpin, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2005 in his home. The Painesville, Ohio native moved to Live Oak in 1992 from Miami. He retired as a foreman from MacArthurs Dairy, Miami after 16 years and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Lett of McAlpin; two daughters, Brenda Rodriguez of Miami and Kimberly Safreed of McAlpin; one son, Joseph F. Lett of Hollywood; two sisters, Lora Covell of Ohio and Alice Barker of McAlpin; one brother, Frank Lett of Ohio; and three grandchildren, Louis, Rickie and Ashley.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am., today, Wednesday, June 8, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in McAlpin, with the Rev. Bob Richardson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of North Central Florida, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.

Barbara Hunter Sample

Barbara Hunter Sample, 84, of Live Oak , passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in Pensacola. After many years away, she returned to Live Oak in 1989 with her mother, Elizabeth Hunter. Sample was a member of First Presbyterian Church and an affiliate member of First United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Woman’s Club.

Survivors include twin daughters, Lynn Nelson of Venice and Linda Thomas of Pensacola and her husband, Jim Thomas; daughter Mary E. Sample of Titusville; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Nelson and M.J. Nelson.

Memorial services will be held at Yates Funeral Home, 1101 South US 1, Ft. Pierce at 10 a.m., Monday, June 13. Donations may be made to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola or any Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation.

E ula C. Lucia, 93, of Live Oak, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2005 in Suwannee Health Care Center, Live Oak.
