James “Jim” Sanders



James “Jim” Sanders, 68, of McAlpin passed away Friday, August 20, 2004 in Shands at Live Oak following a long illness. The Valley, Alabama native moved to McAlpin in 2003 from Ft. White. He was a retired machinist and tool maker for the Sperry Corp. in Gainesville for 15 years and for Moltec in Alachua for 22 years. He was a past scout master and a member of the McAlpin Advent Christian Church in McAlpin.



He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Vanette Sanders of McAlpin; three daughters, Debbie and Dennis Holt of Archer, Kathy and Chuck Paulin of Gainesville and Sandy and Keith Lutz of Tampa; two step sons, Bobby and Becky Faulkner of Newberry and Eddie and Karen Faulkner of High Springs; two sisters, Betty Blount of Atlanta, Ga, and Dorothy Strickland of Gainesville. Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.



Funeral services for Mr. Sanders were conducted Monday, August 23 at 11 a.m. in the McAlpin Advent Christian Church with Rev. Robert Millis and Rev. Joe Chesser officiating,

Interment followed in the church cemetery.



Daniels Funeral Home of Branford was in charge of all arrangements.
