Rash of vehicle burglaries in town

A rash of vehicle burglaries were reported Saturday to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office. According to offense incident reports filed by SCSO at least four conveyances within the Town of Branford were entered and various items removed.



Clyde Lamb of 803 Broughton St., Branford reported two vehicles burglarized at his residence. The only item taken from either vehicle was a radio volume control knob. One vehicle belonged to Herb Shaughnessy.



Ed White of 8580 262nd St. Branford reported two vehicles burglarized with a tire gauge missing from one and the owners manual missing from the other.



Chad Stafford of 704 NE Martin, Branford was another victim. Stolen items from his 2000 Ford F250 was his diamond plated tool box and a smaller plastic tool box. Both boxes were filled with tools.



Deputy Bobby Akey also was dispatched to the residence of Catherine Sarandos, 26038 83rd Road, Branford, when she discovered her vehicle had been burglarized and the item taken was the radio. She also reported two bicycles taken from her yard.



The four vehicle burglaries occurred in the same geographic area according to the reports and all four incidents were reported to the SCSO Saturday.



Deputies Donald S. Gambel and Bobby Akey are investigating officers.



This is the second rash of vehicle burglaries reported to SCSO in the past thirty days.
