Robert Allen Stephens, 56, of Lake City, Florida, passed away Saturday morning, December 4, 2004, at his home in Lake City. A native of Hamilton County, he moved to Lake City in 1998 from Statenville, Georgia. A United States Army veteran, Stephens was a combat veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He had previously worked for Anderson Columbia and had most recently been employed with the Lake City Management Group. In his spare time, Stephens enjoyed fishing and competing in turkey shoots.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Stephens of Lake City; three sons: Blair, Dylan and Ryan Stephens of Michigan; one daughter, Kristie Stephens of Statenville; four brothers: Windle Stephens of Live Oak, Zell Stephens of Lake City, David Stephens of Waverly, Georgia, and Seth Mancil of Adel, Georgia; his mother-in-law, Bobbie Kate Westberry of Lakeland, Georgia; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 11 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stephens’ home.
