Arthur L. Daniels, 53, 206 N Hinley St. Perry and Roy J. Farris, 52, 8002 Downing Circle, Tampa were stopped on separate traffic stops in Lafayette County July 3 by Sheriff Carson McCall.
A search of the vehicles in both stops yielded possession of drugs.
Daniels was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis and driving while license suspended. Farris was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of methamphetamine.
Farris was also charged with unlawful use of police communication when the routine search revealed a mobile scanner installed in the vehicle. The scanner found by McCall and Sgt. John Young is capable of intercepting police frequencies.
Daniels and Farris were taken to the Lafayette County Jail and were released after posting bond.
