Suwannee Volleyball loses one on the road

The Lady Bulldog winning streak came to an end Monday on the road against Branford. The Lady Dogs fought hard but lost after battling through five close matches. The Lady Dogs won the first match 25-18 then lost the next two 18-25 and 19-25. They came back and won the next on 26-24 but lost the fifth match 10-15.
The JV Lady Dogs had better luck. They defeated the Branford JV in three matches 25-21, lost 20-21 and won the final match 15-5.
Lead scorers in this marathon volleyball game were Kortney Cherry with 13 service points and four aces, Sharon Jelks with eight service points, six kills and three aces, Kyla Serrano with nine service points and six aces and Heather Benson who had eight service points, four aces and 13 assists.
Individual Stats
Kortney Cherry had 13 service points and four aces.
Sharon Jelks had eight service points, six kills, three aces and seven assists.
Kyla Serrano had nine service points, six aces and one assists.
Heather Benson had eight service points, four aces, 13 assists and two dinks.
Marcella Walker had five service points, three kills, three aces and six assists.
Lindsey Gaskins had seven kills and three dinks.
Heather LeBlanc had six service points, two kills, one ace, one block, one assist and one dink.
Nereyda Pecina had one assist.
The Lady Dogs take it on the road all week ending in the district tournament in Wakulla beginning Oct. 28. Go Lady Dogs!
