Suwannee volleyball takes Madison

Suwannee volleyball took on Madison at home Sept. 8 and won three straight against the Cowgirls. This win puts the Lady Dogs at 5-2 for the season. The Lady Dogs took the first game of the match 25-19, won the second 25-12 and the third for the match 25-21.
Cortney Benson, Suwannee’s setter and killer server had 14 service points three of them aces. Benson also had 12 assists and one kill.
Once again Jasmine Jefferson was the go-to girl at the net notching eight more kills on her belt. Jefferson also had seven service points, two of them aces, two assists and one block.
Ashley Rose performed well at the net with five kills, five service points, two of them aces, four assists and two blocks.
Stephanee Skipper had seven service points, one of them an ace, one kill and three assists.
Danielle Smith had seven service points, two of them aces and two kills.
Rebecca Roberts had six service points, two of them aces and one assist.
Nikki Reed had three service points and two aces.
The JV Lady Dogs won their second game of the season, hammering the Madison JV 25-14 and 25-19.
The Lady Dogs travel to Baker County for a district game Thursday, Sept. 22 and to Madison County, Friday Sept. 22. Look for the Lady Dogs at home on Sept. 27 against Branford. Game times are 5 p.m. for the JV with the varsity to follow. Go Lady Dogs!
