Bernardo Rebolledo, 42, 599 E. Hwy 27, Perry, was traveling through Lafayette County March 26 in a 1996 Toyota when K-9 officer Geoff Condy spotted a traffic violation.
According to Condy’s report he stopped the vehicle and approached it to write a traffic citation.
When the door was opened Condy detected the odor of cannabis. Condy asked Rebolledo if there were illegal narcotics in the vehicle, the driver responded, “no.”
Condy and Deputy Scott Hamlin, also at the scene, asked for permission to let K-9 Paska search the vehicle. Receiving consent from Rebolledo, Paska was brought out for the search and he immediately alerted that drugs were in the vehicle.
Rebolledo was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Lafayette County Detention Center by Dep. Scott Hamlin.
Rebolledo was released on $3,000 bond.
