William Randolph Strickland

William Randolph Strickland, age 83, of Echols County, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 6, 2004, at his home following an extended illness. The Echols County native and lifelong resident was a World War Two veteran of the United States Air Force. Strickland worked in sales for many years at Whitehead Hardware and Valdosta Hardware. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Strickland.
Survivors include four children: Jerry Strickland of Baxley, Georgia, Norman Strickland of Mayday, Georgia, Randy Johns of Statenville, Georgia, and Kathy Banks of Live Oak, Florida; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 11, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Thomason officiating. Interment followed in Macedonia Cemetery.
