Jackie Wayne Shepherd, 47, P.O. Box 501, Branford was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine April 11.



According to the report filed by K-9 officer Geoff Condy he noticed a 1985 Ford truck traveling west that did not have a working tag light. Condy stopped the truck driven by Shepherd who, according to Condy’s report, appeared very nervous when Condy asked him if there were any illegal narcotics in the truck. Condy said Shepherd stated he did not have drugs in the vehicle and gave consent to have K-9 Paska walk around the truck.



Paska alerted that drugs were inside the truck.



Shepherd was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he remains on $10,000 bond.
