County Drug Task Force makes arrests

The Suwannee County Drug Task Force recently conducted a controlled drug purchase operation and arrested the following people:

Betty Ruth McCray, 36, 826 8th Street – Two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, sale of cocaine within 1000 feet of a place of worship and possession of less than 20 grams cannabis. Her bond has been set at $25,000.

Barney McCray, 31, 607 McGee Street – possession of cocaine with intent to sell and manufacturing crack cocaine. McCray’s bond was set at $25,000, and he was released on a signature bond after first appearance.

Natasha Ford, 27, 604 McGee Street – possession of cocaine with intent to sell and manufacturing crack cocaine. Ford posted a $25,000 surety bond and was

released.

Lawrence Dunnell Reid, 26, 601 McGee Street – sale of cocaine within 1000 feet of a recreation center, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of cocaine with intent to sell/deliver within 1000 feet of a community center. Bond for Reid has been set at $75,000.

Donald Lavon Jones, Jr., 35, 105 Lee Avenue – possession of cocaine. Bond has been set at $3,500.

Theodosius Lamar Cherry, 18, 206 Lincoln Avenue – sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to sell. Cherry posted a $20,000 surety bond and was released.
