Alpha Chi inducts VSU students

Forty-nine Valdosta State University students will be inducted into Alpha Chi National Honor Society’s Georgia Alpha Chapter at 7 p.m. tonight in the Rose Room of the University Center. This is one of the highest academic honors bestowed upon a student. Membership is restricted to juniors and seniors who rank within the highest 10 percent of their respective classes.

Founded in 1958, the Georgia Alpha Chapter at Valdosta State University was the first chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society to be established within the state of Georgia. Officers are: Sarah Chatelain, president; Jennifer Fairborn, vice president; and Maranda Powell, secretary/treasurer. Dr. Kenneth S. Rumstay is faculty sponsor.
