VALDOSTA — “The Tango Lesson” is the featured film for this month’s Movie Night at the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts.

“The Tango Lesson” is about the romance between a movie director and the tango lessons she takes to relieve the stress of her work. She falls in love with an Argentine tango instructor, and they become dance partners as her skills improve and her movie project falters.

The 1997 movie stars Sally Potter, who also directed, and Pablo Veron as Sally and Pablo. It is rated PG.

Movie Nights returned to the arts center earlier this year. Movie Nights present, free to the public, films which may otherwise not appear in Valdosta. These films may be older movies, foreign-language movies, or more-recent independent movies.
