Aubrey Waites Cannady

Aubrey Waites Cannady, 83, of Jasper, Florida, died Saturday, October 14, 2006, in a Jacksonville hospital. Mrs. Cannady was a native of Colquit County, Georgia, and had been a resident of Jasper since 1950. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper. Mrs. Cannady was the owner of Aubrey’s Flower Shop and a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons: Randy and Tommy Cannady, both of Jasper; two daughters: Sara Jean McGauley of Jacksonville, Florida, and Patsy Booth of Melrose, Florida; two brothers: Lloyd “Mann” Waites of Norman Park, Georgia, and Jerry Waites of Memphis, Tennessee; three sisters: Hazel Long of Live Oak, Florida, Juanita Weeks of Moultrie, Georgia, and Lois McGill of Moultrie; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cannady was preceded in death by her husband, JC Cannady, and her son, Lester Cannady.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Jasper, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery of Jasper.

Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
