Veterans’ Day Program and dedication of Veterans Memorial Parkway Nov. 11

All veterans and their family and friends are invited to the Annual Veterans’ Day Program on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the proposed site of the Veterans Memorial Park in front of the Hamilton County Court House Annex located at 1153 US Hwy 41 NW in Jasper.

Judge RB Davis will be the Master of Ceremony and Commander Lawrence Udell (American Legion Post 215) will offer the invocation. Members of the Hamilton County High School ROTC will present the colors.

Speakers will include Commander Sergeant Lamar Royals (Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8095), Herbert Lumpkin (Hamilton County Veterans Service Officer), and Dennis Roberts (Public Defender).

Amber Lee will sing a selection of patriotic songs. Roger Hutto will end the ceremony by playing Taps.

Gena Busscher from the Florida Department of Transportation will unveil the sign for the Veterans Memorial Parkway. A representative from Senator Nancy Argenziano’s office will be present to observe the dedication of US Hwy 41 from the north Jasper city limit to the south Jasper city limit.
