This is Don Meyer, your friendly Ranchettes VFD guy currently serving in Iraq. I had a good idea to show the circulation area of my local paper. I receive the paper in the mail from my wife Tina and took the opportunity to take a picture. A little background: Staff Sgt. Don Meyer, of O’Brien, assigned to the 202nd Red Horse Squadron, Camp Blanding, currently deployed to the 557th Expeditionary Red Horse Squadron, COB Speicher, Iraq (area of Tikrit, Iraq). I am a gun truck commander conducting Combat Logistic Patrols (CLP) on the roads of Iraq. We convoy construction equipment and supplies to the different Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), Consolidated Operating Bases (COBs) and Patrol Bases (PBs) in our area of operations. We have conducted over 26 combat missions so far and have moved over 240 tons of materials and equipment.
