A man and two women were arrested Tuesday night in connection with a double murder near Telford Springs. Juan Gallegos Jr., 27, 163 N.W. Sophie Dr., White Springs, and Elizabeth Dorian Neel, 27, and Norma Jean Yawn, 20, both of 11844 SR 51, Live Oak, were charged in the shooting deaths of two men early Sunday. All three have confessed to their roles in the murders, said Sheriff Tony Cameron. The motive was robbery, said Cameron.

The victims, Javier Neria Rebolledo, 27, and Inocencio Rosado Fuentes, 20, both of 709 Brown Ave., Live Oak, met the three at the Yellow Rose tavern on US 90 east Saturday night and agreed to meet near the springs. “They were going to party,” said Cameron. The victims and Gallegos rode in the victims’ car, following the two women in a pickup truck.

Shortly after turning onto 203rd Road, a secluded path which leads to the springs, Gallegos, from the back seat, shot the men in the head, said Cameron. It isn’t clear how much money, if any, was taken from the men.

Rebolledo was found dead in the driver’s seat of his light blue Pontiac. Fuentes managed to exit the car and was discovered, still alive, in brush about 100 feet away. He later died at Shands at Live Oak.

Cameron said the investigation led quickly to the suspects. At first they denied involvement, said Cameron, but soon their stories began to unravel. “They just began to get caught up in too many lies,” said Cameron. Audio recordings of the suspects’ confessions were made, he said.

Gallegos admitted shooting the men, Cameron said, but the women denied any prior knowledge of his actions. “They said the plan was to knock them in the head and rob them,” said Cameron. Gallegos and Neel were engaged to be married.

Gallegos was charged with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of armed robbery. The women were each charged with two counts as principals to first degree murder. The three were arrested without incident at their respective homes and are being held at the Suwannee County Jail without bail.
