This ability comes in handy, on several occasions, upon meeting Miriam, a Saudi Arabian princess fleeing an arranged marriage that would have devastating ramifications. Dekker has a talent for providing insightful dialogue on various cultures and philosophies without letting the plot trip over these ideas. He explores various ideas while he keeps the suspense coming.
