Lawrence F. “Sonny” Carver Jr.

Mr. Lawrence F. “Sonny” Carver, Jr., 77, of White Springs, Florida, passed away early Thursday morning, November 1, 2007, in the Suwannee Health Care nursing facility in Live Oak, Florida, following an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, Mr. Carver was the son of the late Lawrence and Virginia Gildersleeve Carver. He was a Korean Conflict veteran and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Carver retired in 1995 from PCS Phosphate (Occidental) after more than twenty years of service.

Mr. Carver is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Evonne “Kitty” Carver; a son, Lawrence F. “Larry” Carver III (Libby) of White Springs; and a daughter, Diane Carver of Wellborn, Florida; his grandchildren: Daniel, Laura Beth, Lars, Crystal and Thomas; and his great-grandchildren: Brianna, Aubrie and Camden.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Carver were conducted Sunday, November 4, 2007, in the Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, with Rev. Ron Thompson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home.
