Thumbs down to neighboring sheriff’s office vehicles. In the past two days I have had my doors blown off by one from Tift County and one from Cook County on Highway 41 North. Please guys, you are supposed to follow the law also unless you are chasing a criminal. When you weave in and out of traffic while speeding, you become the criminal.
You are right about the South being all about football. Nobody cares about hockey. VSU are national champions and the Vikings are state champions. That is why the town is called, “Winnersville.”
To the person who thinks the music minister at Perimeter Road Baptist Church is great: Thank you. We think so too. But try to visit sometime when our new pastor, Dr. Jimmy Baughcum, is preaching. We think he is great too.
When are the Blazers going to get their own stadium? Two national championships in three years, and we still play in a high school stadium painted yellow and black. It’s offensive and hurtful to see new multi-million dollar buildings go up on campus with no mention of a stadium.
Hey, athletics are a nice diversion and provide some entertainment, but what about academics? What about LHS and VSU trying to be academic champions? That will help our kids in the future more than a game.
Compliments to the QUOLA program for their Christmas program at St. Paul. It was beautiful and the children were hard working and talented. We encourage Dr. Amanda Brown and her program.
Congratulations to head coach Keith McConnehead for a job well done at the Tom Cat Invitational Saturday. The team did good.
To the person just moving to the South complaining about how we love football and asking about hockey, “the real man’s sport,” you need to recognize where you’ve relocated. Did you read any headlines from over the weekend? We won a national championship and a state championship within one weekend and one county. There’s a reason all you’ve heard about since you’ve moved here is football, and we’re proud of it.
I just want to say to the kids stealing Christmas decorations outside of people’s homes, shame on you. Me and my kids put those up and when they woke up and saw no lights outside they were so sad. What has this town come to when people can’t even put outside Christmas decorations anymore.
I would sincerely like to thank all my fellow bikers for braving the elements and riding in the Outback Riders Toy Ride. We will once again make a child’s Christmas wishes come true. The ladder trucks were fantastic touch. Thanks ever so much.
Thank you to both the band directors Mr. Mika, Mr. Drew, seventh and eighth grade band members. Thank you for such a wonderful Christmas concert you put on at the Hahira Middle School gym. It was an awesome show. Please continue having your shows at the school gym. It was awesome to be able to sit so close and enjoy the show. It felt much more personal during the show.
