Elizabeth Yawn, 51, of 6819 US 129 North, Live Oak, has been arrested for her alleged involvement in recent local burglaries committed by juveniles, including, say police, her son.

Authorities say Yawn allowed the juveniles to use her vehicle to commit burglaries at the Recycle Center, 700 N. Houston Avenue.

She then accompanied the juveniles to various locations in Columbia and Lafayette counties, where the stolen property was disposed of, authorities say.

Yawn was charged as a principal in the first degree to burglary, principal in the first degree to auto theft, and with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She was booked into the Suwannee County Jail on March 11.

The investigation into these crimes is continuing and further charges could be filed, said Live Oak Police Department Detective Justin Bates.
