Frank H. Studstill, Jr. 71 of Ray City, Ga., passed away at his residence early Friday morning May 2, 2008, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Berrien County, Ga., to the late Thomas Julian and Maudell Vaughn Studstill. Many will remember him while they ride on driveways and streets he paved during his many years of being self-employed in the paving business. His love for Ray City was evident, he served the people in City Government as well as being Mayor for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ray City.

Survivors include one son, Hank Studstill of Ray City; two daughters, Dana Upson of Ray City and Jennifer Roberts of Clyde, Texas; nine grandchildren, Holly Studstill, Cole Upson, Jake Sefeik, Taylor Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Jonathan Brogdon, Travis Brogdon, Ginger Wilson and Alex Wilson; one sister, Jean Giddens of Ray City; one brother, Tom Studstill, Jr. of Valdosta; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, in the First Baptist Church in Ray City. The family will receive friends in the social hall after the services until 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Ray City Youth Group or the Church Food Pantry.
