AVi Productions, a local production company, recently filmed the Mercy Mountain Boys’ music video “Soldiers Letter” in Live Oak and Lake City. On location in Live Oak the company filmed scenes at the Suwannee County Coliseum, Suwannee Springs, the old bridge near Suwannee Springs and at a Suwannee County home.

Last June AVi filmed the Mercy Mountain Boys’ first music video, “Me Against it All.” After viewing the video, Rick Hendrix of Nashville agreed to promote Mercy Mountain Boys’ next video — “Soldiers Letter.”

AVi Productions was founded in May of 2006 and consists of Live Oak residents Marty Loos and William Johnson, as well as RL and Cassie Minnich of Lake City.

“We were very excited when Rick Hendrix agreed to promote the ‘Soldiers Letter’ video. Rick has worked with the Oak Ridge Boys, the Gather Vocal Band and Carrie Underwood, just to name of few,” said Loos, who has a background in feature filmmaking. “We want to partner with folks like the Mercy Mountain Boys who are using their platform to promote traditional values. That’s why we choose to produce the ‘Soldiers Letter’ video, because of the strong message of American and family values portrayed in the song. We hope that everyone will have a chance to see the video and remember what makes America the greatest country in the world.”

The “Soldiers Letter” video expects to be aired on CMT and GMT on July 4.
