Violet Louise Combs Harrison, 80, a life long resident of Lake City, Florida, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Claude H. and Edith Louise Kinard Combs. She also resided for a while in Palatka, Florida and Live Oak, Florida. Mrs. Harrison was an excellent artist and a retired beautician of 39 years. She also enjoyed camping, traveling, being outdoors. Mrs. Harrison was a member of The Gideon Auxiliary and First Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Mack C. Harrison Sr. of Lake City, Florida; children, Judy Dunn Maloy (Charles) of Live Oak, Pamela Dunn Lynch (Hal) of Mayo, Florida and Jason Turner Dunn, California; step-children, Eva Beth Harrison of Orange Park, Florida, Mark Harrison (Debbie) of Alabama, Mack Carl Harrison Jr., of Arizona, Linda Hodges (Michael) of Arizona and Pamela Jean Harrison of Georgia; one brother, Claude H. Combs Jr. (Eufaula) of Lake City, Florida; one sister, Fay Lemon of Lake City, Florida; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 19 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Wood, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haven Hospice Care Center, 6037 US 90 West, Lake City, FL 32055, Gideons Foundation, P.O. Box 1805, Lake City, FL 32056 or First Baptist Church, 182 NE Justice Street, Lake City, FL 32055.
