Chandler “Chanee” Newsome, age 32, resident of Jasper, Florida. passed away at her home Monday, August 18, 2008. Chanee was born in Tallahassee, Florida. but lived most of her life in Jasper. She was a 1994 graduate of Hamilton County High School, graduating on her 18th birthday. She worked as a legal assistant for the Law firm of Robinson, Kennon, and Kendron, P.A. in Lake City, Florida, and attended the First United Methodist Church in Jasper. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Col. Karl and Betty Rudser and Col. Chandler and Peggy Estes.

Survivors include two sons, Dreven Newsome and Peyton Newsome, both of Jennings, Florida; her parents, Donald K. and Paula Rudser of Jasper, two sisters: Peggy Marlatt (Ryan) of Alachua, Florida, and Donna Sikes (Ray) Savannah, Georgia; one brother, Karl Rudser (Rebecca) Jasper; one niece, Mackenzie Sikes, Savannah, Georgia.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 22, 2008, in the First United Methodist Church in Jasper, with Rev. Roger Hutto officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
