Mrs. Julia Mae Cannington, 66, of Live Oak, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Shands of Lake Shore Hospital. She was born in Ft. Myers, FL to the late Jack and Willa Mae Jennings Smith and moved to Live Oak twenty-seven years ago from Clewiston, FL. Mrs. Cannington was a wonderful woman and a loving mother and grandmother, who touched the hearts and lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of Christ Central Ministries and was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James W. Cannington, Sr.
Mrs. Cannington is survived by her son, James W. Cannington, Jr., Live Oak, FL; two daughters, Donna Cannington and Pam Lawrence, both of Live Oak; one brother, Jackie Smith (Annie), Clewiston, FL; Six grandchildren, Daniel, Josh, Brittany, Dalton, Tyler and Jayce and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Cannington will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Central Ministries of Live Oak with Pastor Wayne Godsmark officiating.
