Raves to the couple who bought my friend and I breakfast at 5 Points Waffle House Friday, Thank You very much. You made our day.
There’s nothing wrong with the traffic circle at Moody, and there’s nothing wrong with letting others “zipper” into the flow (that’s called being courteous). The problem is you must maneuver barricades and cross speed bumps, and a traffic light that can’t stay green long enough to offset all these factors.
Well we are seeing what the fruits of our labor have done, allowing our banks to get so large and all our financials to be “bundled” together. One big crash. What have we learned? The federal government now wants to develop a “super grid” to tie all of our electrical power together. Make it easier for terrorists to knock out all our power at once.
There are so many other needs the money wasted on the library snow could have been used to benefit others. That should have went to a worthy cause to help others.
To the man speeding down Old State Road on the four-wheeler Sunday while holding an infant in his lap with one hand and steering with the other hand: Did someone tell you this was a good idea, or did you think of it all by yourself?
Thank you to the library for a great snow day. We enjoyed it for the first few minutes until the lady with the dog on her shoulder came up. My child is deathly afraid of dogs, and we did not expect to see a dog at a library. She was in tears, and we had to leave as the lady continued to play in the area with the kids with the dog over her shoulder. Realize that not everyone likes animals, and some young children have a fear, even though we have tried all we can to help calm this fear. I would have liked to have stayed longer. I did see many children enjoy this fun event. Thank you library.
A huge rave to Park Avenue Methodist Church for holding the women’s conference this weekend and inviting women from the entire community to participate. The speaker was wonderful and it was a blessing to see so many women of faith in one place.
To the person who commented on the family who was receiving attention on the media and a bank account, maybe you didn’t realize that it was friends of the family who were reaching out to them. Apparently you don’t have very many friends.
We went out to eat last Saturday night. There was a group of people that came in and sat at the table next to us. They had a new baby with them. The grandmother changed the baby’s diaper at the table. When she finished she put the dirty diaper on the windowsill. I couldn’t believe what I saw. How rude.
Now we hear Barack Obama is wanting to postpone the digital TV transition because too many people have not prepared for it. Sounds to me like the government is worried that they will not be able to manipulate the masses through the brainwashing of the network news.
