VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Police Department has released composites of two suspects in the Jan. 15 home invasion at Spanish Mission Apartment Homes.

The suspect who brandished a gun at the time of the home invasion has been described as being 18 to 24 years of age and 5 feet 10 inches tall, having an average build and wearing dark-colored clothing, according to reports. The second suspect, who displayed a knife at the time of the incident, was described as being 19 to 25 years of age and 6 feet tall, having a medium build and wearing dark-colored clothing, reports stated.

Although the composites do not capture the skin tones of the suspects, both were are described as having medium to dark complexions.

“The victims were able to give their recollections of features they remember on each of the suspects,” Valdosta Police Department Lt. Bobbi McGraw said. “We want the public to focus mainly on the suspects’ facial features, not their complexions.”

The home invasion occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15. Two black males entered an apartment at the complex and began to take items from the residence, said Valdosta Police Department Capt. Bernard Robinson. One offender was armed with a gun, while the other had a knife, Robinson said.

The residence, according to a public information release report, was occupied by four people at the time of the home invasion. During the incident, at least one male was physically assaulted. A female was sexually assaulted, Robinson said.

The male victim was treated for minor injuries at South Georgia Medical Center and later released, the public information release report stated.

Both suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed number of items from the apartment in one of the victim’s vehicles. Valdosta police later recovered the vehicle in the 400 block of Moody Drive.

Anyone who sees or knows someone fitting the description of the two suspects, knows the whereabouts of the suspects or has information about the home invasion is encouraged to call the Valdosta Police Department Bureau of Investigation at (229) 293-3145 or Crime Tip Line at (229) 293-3091 immediately.
