VALDOSTA — The famed chicken restaurant, Bojangles’, has finally made its way to the Valdosta area, and is located at 1725 West Hill Ave.

Locally owned and operated, owners Hetal and Vinod Patel guarantee to provide South Georgia with quality service and a taste of something different.

“The thing that makes us different are our flavors and the freshness of our product,” said owners.

“We make our biscuits from scratch and everything is made daily. We offer quality food and friendly service, and the food we sell is the same as a sit down restaurant. It feels like mom’s cooking, and is something different for the Valdosta area.”

Bojangles’ has offered services to the Valdosta community by partnering with Valdosta State University, public schools and by sponsoring a local golf tournament.

“We’re big into the community and have recently provided food for the local carnival,” said General Manager Alex Morales. “The carnival was for local low income families, and so we kindly offered to provide free food.”

Before the owners opened for business, the staff had family night where everyone brought their families in to practice serving customers.

“It went extremely well,” said Morales. “We had on call duty police officers, EMT, and the fire department.”

There will be a grand opening within the next two weeks, and until then customers can expect to receive coupons in the mail.

According to Bojangles.com, Bojangles’ began in 1977 as the dream of operators Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas.

They saw an opportunity to develop a quick service restaurant chain based on three attributes a distinctive flavor profile, a wholesome, high-quality made-from-scratch products, and a festive restaurant design with fast, friendly service.

“We have a Bojangles’ brand promise,” said the owners. “Quality biscuits, chicken, tea, and service. We have a unique taste and flavor. We serve with a smile and of course the customer is our main focus.”

Q: What are your hours of operation?



A: We’re open every morning at 5:30 a.m. and we close at 10 p.m. during the weekdays and Midnight on the weekend.



Q: What does your menu consist of?



A: We offer a variety of combos and individual items for the customer to choose from including our Bojangles’ Famous Chicken dinners served with a biscuit and a choice of one or two fixin’s. Our fixin’s (sides) include dirty rice, cajun pintos, cole slaw, green beans, fries, etc. Also, we’re health conscious offering three types of salads. Our legendary tea and breakfast menu are available as well.



Q: What specials are you offering? Catering services?



A: We provide combos at discounted prices, there are senior drinks for five cents, and 10 percent off orders for military and on duty police officers.



Q: How’s the staff?



A: Well, the staff is great. We have our two owners, our general Manager Alex Morales, and 60 brand new employees.



Q: What are your most popular items?



A: So far our most popular items appear to be the cajun filet breakfast biscuit and our cajun bone-in chicken.
