VALDOSTA — People have been seeking ways to appear ageless throughout the ages. One Valdosta business owner is doing her part to help modern women continue this quest.

Top-quality makeup, skin and body-care brands are already available to purchase in Valdosta thanks to Rhonda Tomlinson, a nationally certified medical aesthetician.

Tomlinson is the owner of Ageless Medical Aesthetics salon, and she opened a retail store Ageless Beauty on April 1.

While the Ageless Medical Aesthetics salon offers skin treatments and procedures, Ageless Beauty store provides all kinds of skin and body products.

Tomlinson said that she had spoken with a lot of people about what products they use or want, and where they get them. Based on the answers, she brought those brands to Valdosta.

“I look for what patients need or buy out of town and I carry it, so they don’t need to go out of town and be able to get it here in Valdosta,” she said.

With her 16 years of experience in skin treatment and more than 40 certifications, Tomlinson is one of the most reliable medical aestheticians in the area.

According to agelessmedicalaesthetics.com, she has received additional training and certifications in lasers, interdermal pigmentation, electrolysis, medical microdermabrasion, chemical treatments (Glycolic, Salicylic Acid, Lactic, Jessners, Tricloroacetic Acid, etc.), cold currents, para-medical makeup, scar management, and prescription skin care.

Tomlinson’s employees in both her salon and store are all certified medical aestheticians.



Q: Some of the best products you offer?



A: “I have anything you need for makeup and skin care to enhance beauty — similar to what Sephora does. The best makeup brands we offer are Smashbox, bareMinerals and Nvey Eco Organic Makeup. Smashbox is an HD makeup line; bareMinerals is very reasonably priced and packed with minerals and vitamins, and Nvey Eco Organic Makeup is especially for the people in green and it’s a luxury organic makeup line — 100 percent certified organic. Ageless Beauty is the only place in Valdosta people can buy these products. I will add two more top lines in the next six months and 10 more in the next couple of years.”



Q: What are some other products you offer besides makeup?



A: “We also have perfumes — right now we have one perfume called Ageless. Scientists did a 10-year study to find out what makes women smell younger, and is packed with pheromones. About 10 minutes after you put it on the skin, it changes its smell according to your skin. Also, we have eye-lash enhancers that actually make your eye lashes grow; acne products; several different mascaras; pillows that save your face from wrinkles; self tanners; facial exercisers; products for freckles; SPANX which are pants that shape your appearance and make you look slimmer. I’m still looking for the best brands for body lotions that will really help the skin, so I’m doing a lot of research on that right now. We have self-tanners; sunscreens; things for the chest, neck, and body; Obagi Medical skin products, and products for women who are over 30.”



Q: What about the prices?



A: “It goes down to very reasonable prices to luxury prices. I try to offer products for everyone and from all kinds of price ranges.”



Q: Location and hours of operation?



A: “Ageless Beauty is located at 3205 N. Oak St. Ext., Building D, but in a month, we will move in a bigger place, two doors down from the current location. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.”
