Members of the Florida Army National Guard’s 269th Engineer Detachment are set to return to Live Oak Saturday after nearly a year in Afghanistan.
Friends and family will gather at the Armory to welcome home 14 members of the unit between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The unit returned to the U.S. recently following a mission drilling wells in Afghanistan, and has been in post-mobilization processing at Camp Shelby, Miss. The soldiers will arrive at the armory by bus.
