Hit and run suspect turns himself in to authorities

A man wanted in connection with a January hit and run incident that killed a Moody Air Force Base airman has turned himself into authorities

Travis Michael Biles, 20, surrendered to the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, June 18, Sheriff Chris Prine, said. A warrant for his arrest was issued on June 17.
Biles was released to his father on a $10,000 bond, Prine said, and is charged with felony homicide by vehicle, felony leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and misdeameanor possession of marijuana.
Moody Staff Sgt. David Fredrick Horney IV, 25, lost his life in an apparent hit and run accident along North Oak Street extension in the early morning hours of Jan. 16.
