- The Shoney's restaurant in Valdosta closed suddenly Thursday.
The Shoney’s restaurants in Valdosta and Lake Park, as well as a number of other cities in the Southeast, abruptly closed Thursday afternoon.
News reports indicate that stores were also closed, with little notice, in Columbus and nearby Phenix City, as well as in Tallahassee.
