To the person upset about obama signs being up your not very smart. Obama HAS NOT has brought this country back from the brink of depression look around millions do not have jobs still. And obama has not started the economy on the way back from doom it is still as bad now as it was 2 years ago if you say its not your a IDIOT. From the desk of Pontius Pilot Governor of Rome:
Regretfully the scheduled last supper and subsequent crucifixion will be canceled due to the lack of wine in Sewanee County.
On the bright side the annual Augustus Caesar beer fest will be held as usual in our down town. Gladiators from 8 – 12. Feeding of the lions from 12 noon till dark. Burning of Christians to start soon after dark.
This is no more ridiculous than saying we are a dry county and allowing the sale of beer. We are either dry or not! How many of us would enjoy a glass of wine with dinner or a glass of Champaign at Christmas with out having to go out of town.

It will be a sad day for the USA when the symbol of American capitalism the” New York Stock Exchange” becomes the property of “ Deutsche Boerse” headquartered in Frankfort, Germany. The price tag 10 billion dollars. Let’s see if the Obama administration and all its regularatorie commissions can put a stop to this I doubt it. What is next the Chinese buying the White House.

Having attended several not only shs games but several sms games seeing high school players used in middle school games and some of the tactics employed by the coaches and players all i can say is you reep what you sow. the coaches know what they’ve done all season and what they are teaching showed itself that night. dont try to blame the refs… we all know how bad they are you asked for it all season and you got it. congratulations. as far as fhsaa goes… please, better evaluation of officiating and regulation of rosters

I actually thought it a joke and am still laughing over the five dollar sign being “stolen” Gary Brown actually pursuing such a “Nit Picky” venture. This is adolescent activity which cost many dollars. I am very happy that a man of such nature is not the County Judge. Grow up and get a life Gary.

What a huge waste of time at a City Council meeting. I think Mr. Riggs and Mr. prins were performing a publicity stunt.
Unfortunately, since it was on the front page of the newspaper some may deem it as successful.

The behavior of the soccer team, following a similar incident by the football team in Baker co. is really a glowing testimony to our much touted alleged christian values and moral superiority. Somebody better scramble to find a passage that excuses this, but I’m sure they will, praise the Lord!!

To all the atheists that are upset if you don’t like voteing at a church then vote via mail or at Glenda Williams office no one back you IDIOTS vote at a church. We have no use for DUMB idiots in this county.
~~
By the looks of this column it’s high time to put the “Good Book” down for a minute and pick up the Funk & Wagnall. Try looking up the term ” delusional fanaticism”. Nothing wrong with being faithful, no atheist here folks, but from time to time through out history you get isolated populations that take a good thing too far. If the shoe fits…

Hey, pray all you want, to any diety you want, it’s your right. Just do it in a religous institution, not a taxpayer funded setting! That’s plenty fair & sensible ain’t it? Oh yeah, it’s also the way the supreme court has ruled for decades, so why can’t this godforsaken place get on board with that? Change ain’t bad or good, it is inevitable or you end up with a mess like this that benefits no one! This ain’t about love or faith, it’s about control, bigotry & hypocrisy, religion equals oppression.

I am not shocked on how the Christian’s are still reacting to us non-religious residents. I was born and raised here this is MY county too! And I will not move or change my views just to suit a few hypocritical people. For you to be so threatening as to say “the devil has a place for you in hell right now, so please meet him down there very soon” . Or how about ” I am offended by atheists, and would like to know is there somebody out there who will see the athiests get out of town? Because I don’t want to be offended by their presence.” Well from my point of view it looks like you are the ones that need some serious help. I chose to be a free thinker because of people like you and you once again confirmed that I made the right choose for myself and my family. You need to take a hard look at yourself, read your post’s, and ask yourself “Would any good person act this way?” The answer should be NO.
